Hi,

I'm in the market for a good CIEM for classical music. I'm about to close the deal in a pair of Heir 8A but would really like to hear some sugestions.

I currently own an Etymotic ER-4 and a Triple-Fi with the Etys been my favorites.

As a source, I'm going to pair it with my Ipod (as I had to return my DX-100) until the Hifiman HM-901 comes out.

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot!

The 8.A is a good all rounder, it would really bring Yo Yo Ma to great levels....

The 4.A or 4.Ai would be a good choice as well, as it is more designed for clasical, strings, vocals etc.

Hard to say, but I like them both.

I have the 8.A and listen to a lot of classical music. The 8.A's rich, warm sound is very nice with a cello and the treble sings with violins and soprano voices.

The Heir Audio 6.A will have a leaner, less warm sound, if you prefer a more neutral, but still very musical tuning.

Both are excellent with great clarity. I recommend them both.

Th trouble with th 6.A LE, is that you may have the last one..... ever. I will need to look into the stock situation on Oct 8th when the whole crew is back from their Holiday.
