Good cans for watching TV

Hello to you all Head-Fiers.

Which headphones are particularly good for watching TV, if there are any?
I need them for my dad who tends to watch movies and stuff late into the night, not before arguing with mom over the volume, each and every time

Also, there is this issue that most cans have cable lengths of 3 meters top and i need it to be at least 3.5 meters long in order to watch comfortably from the sofa.
I noticed Senn's HD62 TV (which look suspiciously like HD202...). is anyone familiar with them?

The budget is 90-100$, at most.

The Sennheiser hd555 will do. or get some wireless ones (yes i know it has crappy sound relatively speaking, but for TV/movies, they will do!)

I agree, wireless is the way to go in this situation, or you'll have a long, heavy and inconvenient cable.
