Good amp for Image X10s?

I currently run my X10s unamped from an iPod Touch 2nd gen, but was looking into grabbing an amp for them.

Say a budget of $200 (might be able to stretch it given very good recommendations), and maybe suggest a LOD? I'm not sure if they offer any improvement, but if they do I'd grab one + amp.

The HeadAmp AE-2 is supposed to be very good with the X10, here is a review:

$350 is a bit out of my price range currently.

I've heard great things about the AE-2, but I can't fathom spending that much money right now.

I haven't owned a Touch 2nd gen., so cannot testify regarding relative size. But, I do use X10's. My personal choice for amping the X10 is a Xin Supermini because you want something slightly tubey to ameliorate the brightness of the x10 SQ. This particular setup I use is Nano 1st gen./Xin Supermini IV (just updated by the Dr. this week)/Klipsch x10. I cannot accurately tell you how long it may take for you to receive your Supermini.
I also own Pico amp/dac, and RSA P51 - while great, they would not be my choices for pairing with x10.
