Something like "Goldring DR150 - Wireless?" would be a good one, for example

Thats better! No-one would ever look at a thread with 'Hello.' as the title... You should always put the question or something to do with the subject of the thread as the title.

I dont have the DR150, but I think the answer to your question would be no. I think the reason for detacheable cables is so you can replace them if they get damaged, or remove them for storage. Also, it makes it easier to put modified cables there for better sound.

I'm PRETTY sure its not for wireless.

Hope this helps!

just because the cable is easily replaceable (i've played around with different ICs with my dr150), doesn't mean it can be wireless

and if there was some kinda wireless device that was easy to install, why can't they be used on other headphones?

my sennheiser hd580 have a detachable cable
grados are easily opened up and recabled

if you're looking for a quality wireless headphone, check out the ety8

Well, you could make a short adapter cable and just stick your mp3 player to the headband, but that's about as good as you're going to get.

Wireless usually means a separation between source and amplification, with the source being transferred to the amp over the air instead of by a wire as is customary. So there's no way to make a headphone wireless without somehow buiding an amp into it. And though this could in principle be executed well, the fact of the matter is that it never really has been, and that no audiophile would admit to owning wireless headphones without some sort of self-deprecating excuse.

Your urge to have something as good as the Goldring be wireless is a healthy one, but you'll only be disappointed, I'm afraid. An easily-pocketable mp3 player plus amp is about as small as you'll get with good SQ, but it won't be very cheap.

I thank you for your reply. (the rest of you to.)

I guess i´ll be purchasing a longer cable instead then. Cause my TV is so big, that if i sit to close to it. It feels like the damn thing is going to tip over me when things move forward on it.

How much would you recommend that i spend on a cable? It has to be around 6M (~18ft.)
