I have just purchased a pair of Goldring DR150 and I understand that these headphones need some serious burn in.

My question is the bass is terribly bloated and I just wondered if this tightens up with the burn in process or do I have a dodgy pair of headphones.

I will leave them overnight to burn in and see if the bass gets any better otherwise they are going straight back to the store.

Everything should calm down with some burn-in but it shouldn't take too long. I would say if after 20 hours or so things are still not sounding right then take 'em back. Keep in mind there is a chance that the Docs are not suited to your tastes.
