I have a friend who has what appears to be an issue .... I want to keep this perfectly anonymous, and respectful.

He recently purchased a used Goldpoint amp, and it did not come with the power supply. Upon contacting Arn, he was quoted an astounding price of $125 for a Walwart ..... Does this seem rather crazy to anyone else ?

I respect Goldpoint products, but this sounds bordering on theft to me .... Is there something REALLY special about the walwart that Goldpoint uses ?

Lastly, are there any other options ?  Possibly even better options ?

Thanks

Does Arn still sell the old Wallwarts? I got the new universal adapter free of charge that is specially made for the goldpoint.

If you don´t want that you need a 2.5A 12VAC adapter. I suppose even the older versions of the GHP should be able to take 2,5A?
Double check with Arn on that one.

after looking at the GP website, it appears that it's not an off the shelf power brick: http://www.goldpt.com/hpp.html.  if true, the price seems reasonable to me.  commissioning a o11 would cost about the same and is probably a better PS.
