Interesting, but by admitting that the second manual only adds fullness, I think I'd take the dual (sometimes triple) manuals of the harpsichord. Those had settings to change the sound distinctly, going from a muted plucking, to maybe a full plucking sound with completely different materials.

But I could see this being immensely useful on a lot of the Liszt...
