So I bought a broken pair of SR80's for $20 and I'm definitely going to have to recable them since the previous owner sliced up the original cable. I'm just wondering if theres anything special I need to do? I've recabled my hd201's before and it was a pretty easy procedure. The only thing I'm uncertain about is how the housing is fixed on? I've heard that grado uses hot glue to keep the housing on. Is there anything special I need to do to put them back on? I don't really want to change how they sound. Anyways, here are some pics of the headphones. Oh, and let me know if anyone thinks theyre beyond repair.

Ok, just got them yesterday and I think I can definitely fix them. Might be another issue if one of the speakers is blown or broken though. Anyways, is there anything you guys would recommend I do while I have them apart that would improve the sound. Currently all my phones are sounding a little bright so I'm looking for something a little more mellow.
