Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

Ha! As I said earlier, it was a joke, but you’re right !
Sorry, man. Our culture is in a weird place right now. Hard to tell when someone is joking!

On that note, my 9 year old son suggested last year that we buy my wife new sponges for Xmas! Lol. It was pretty funny. To be fair, she's pretty OCD about the kitchen, so I could see why he went there. Still pretty funny though

Did you swipe on the bar near the button settings? See that ^? Swipe up. It's not obvious that you can do that, but there is a little rocket ship below the ^.
DUH...thank you erockg & msooffutt....

Thoughts
On the plane, the Rex ran out of juice w ANC on about 5 hours, as advertised.

SQ: nuff said ~ glad it's settled : ) Pi8 & Svanar > Rex. I like the Rex SQ best. It's deep, powerful, and rumbles yet I can hear the details in the mids/highs. Pi8, sound is tighter, also full, and detailed. 1 x driver..?
Svanar more air, and the sound is further out. Bass is detailed, reaches as far down as Rex but does not have the power.

All 3 are TOTL. paraphrasing subguy812: TOTL's, it all comes down to finding a signature that checks your boxes"

ANC: Rex, Svanar, & Pi8 (will do ZX1). Coulda been the seat but all 3 did poorly. Pi8 bout 20% better than other 2. FWIR, ZX1 will beat the 3.

Fit: Pi8 best. Svanar, right ear tip comes off in my ear but seals well and feels good, no roll. Rex, oh boy hurt my right ear quickly. Will try the dbl flange 1st and roll till (fingers crossed) getting the right one.

I walk everyday through busy city streets and to my ears the Pi8's anc seems better than the sony xm5, not sure if it's just better fit for me and the fact they go louder (not that I'm using excessively loud volumes). Stock eartips in medium in both.

Got a slightly used pair of Buds3 pro for 150 EUR :D

I gotta say, as a current Samsung user it's quite the experience to use a pair of buds that's specifically designed for the hardware/software. Also the build quality is impeccable. When using a Samsung phone utilizing the UHQ SSC codec, the sound quality is very good too, obviously not the best in the space, but very good.

The buds are very very feature rich too, the hardware is easily the best I've experienced in this field, case is small, hinge feels sturdy, as do the buds. Comfort is also top tier in my view, the buds are quite small, you almost forget that you're wearing them. I haven't tested the call quality yet, but I expect these to be top performances given the steam design and the super-wideband function. ANC is also the best that I've personally tested, but I've mostly tested audiophile-focused earbuds in the past, so there's probably TWS pairs in on the same level out there.

Using the built-in controls is a great experience as well, I do wish they were more customizable though. You pinch/swipe to control the playback/anc and a bunch of other Samsung features (like the translator).

Unlike Apple hardware, Samsung's hardware is usually very competitive in terms of price, I also got my Z Fold 6 at a great price.

However, as many of you know, I can't recommend these if you're not an owner of a Samsung device, you loose too many features.

Finally...Samsung gotta Samsung...They've gatekept the multipoint connection. Fine, I can understand the gatekeeping of the smartphone features, but how many people owns a Samsung laptop? I just want to keep the buds connected to both my phone and windows PC...Very annoying. It's the same story with their TVs, you buy a TV worth thousands of dollars, just to have Samsung not bothering to support Dolby Vision.

But for the price, easily a 5/5. (if you own a Samsung phone). If money is taken out the equation, I'm probably most interested in the B&W PI8s, but they're very pricy compared to the Buds 3 pro.

I'll probably purchase the new Buds3 designed eartips from Azla as well, you waiting for Amazon.se to stock them.

Rex5 came in.

They sound pretty good. Very detailed but still has that planar zing. Needs some burn in and EQ to soften it out and balance the signature.

I'm thinking to give the Final Z3000 SV a try once they're available in my country. They feature these pressure vents like an ordinary IEM, without loosing the IP-rating.

Agree with everything said. They do sound good using the SSC or even AAC btw, just not as good as the 24bit SSC. Samsung is pain with of these features locked up the way they are. Could have given LDAC and have a massive potential audience but like that damn walled garden...

Have enjoyed the final products (wired) I've used in the past, hopefully they get it right this time on the wireless front.

Aviot TE-ZX1 users - any idea how to set ANC on by default? My set seems to go back to normal mode by default everytime I take it out from the charging case.

The key is theyre not even competing with $100 wired sets like the supermix 4 yet.
They are really good for the price. I just picked these up the other day and have them paired with the fiio utws5. I wanted something that sounded good, but cheap, to pair with my VR headset, but these sound great with the fiio ear hooks. I’m glad you mentioned them, because I hadn’t heard of them before.
