I prefer both the MTW and DPP for different reasons
The DPP's pack the biggest punch on just bass and full sound. The mtw's are more airy sounding for me

I'm using Xiaomi 14 Ultra and yes -- it's the aptx adaptive downgrading the signal when it's struggling (i find it only does that on the outer limits of range) but then it'll switch back up to full again after about 10s of good signal

Given the mtw3's are only 10 quid more than M100's and currently the DPP's are under 200 -- they're a better choice at the moment.

If by any remote chance you live near nottingham you're welcome to have a listen
Got some MTW4s to replace my M100s.

Initial thoughts were default sound profile was horrible and muddy (but came alive once I'd dabbled with the EQ). Transparency mode (important to me) on a different level to the M100 and connection way better and more consistent.

Think these will be the ones I keep!

If there is no rep for them here and he insists on being present with memes, I can't see that it is anyone's fault.
This is a social media platform, not a vendor or manufacturer support forum. Unless the Wizard is paid to be on here, he owes you and everyone else, PRECISELY zero. You don’t like the memes he posts then click ignore.

Go easy on the wizard! I like his input and insights within the industry. Stuff happens and they quickly halted production to mitigate the escapes to the customer. Manufacturing 101, I’ve seen it too many times in the disk drive industry. Large recalls are very costly 👍
Nobody was criticizing that such manufacturing things can happen actually. The discourse had nothing to do with that.

It’s my understanding he had to fly to Japan and deal with some technical issues, while some folks were (and still are) a little annoyed at the delay.. As a test/manufacturing engineer I know what’s involved. Believe me, no one wants delays and escapes, when introducing a new product. Test, test again and retest 👍

Those with the Shure TW2 and using 2-pin IEMs. Which mmcx to 2-pin adapters do you use? And did they stretch out your 2-pin connector holes? The ones I got I think made my Volur ones looser. Either that or something else happened.

Show some respect, don’t make yourself unwelcome here. The Wizard founded a very successful hifi business. Chill out…
Maybe cut down on caffeine 👍

“He played cute and evasive and said to contact the distributor because they talked to HQ, like he didn't. And then posted memes in response”

This is not how you win friends….
It is pretty amazing how people forget four important things… (1) preorders expose you to delays in releases, (2) preorders may result in disappointment in the actual product not living up to the hype, (3) these are simply toys and not life saving instruments, and (4) while you are typing to a screen you are communicating with real people.

I agree with 3 and 4. 2 for sure. 1 - I am not so sure. The habit of making products available for order when said products are not ready to launch is annoying. It’s not just a noble problem. It’s an industry problem. Apparently the triumph is available for sale right now at canjam so it is a little bit bothersome that preorders got pushed in favor of other distribution channels. I think people who plunked down their hard earned money a month ago deserve to be first in line. Yes crap happens. But it might be better for everyone if it happened less.

Read the post. He didn't have to fly to Japan to deal with anything out of the ordinary. It was a routine trip that included finding out what the issues are. At first it did seem that way, but when a poster put it to him, Mr. Moulton clarified it was a routine scheduled trip.

Except nobody forgot any of those things, nor thought number 3, and nobody forgot number 4 either. Nobody attacked the Noble rep that I saw for this happening, because it's part of the business to a point. But then again it's you who said this gem:

This is a social media platform, not a vendor or manufacturer support forum.
I mean, no crap sherlock? You do realize though that brands have been using social media to interact with customers right? As in like it is a fundamental part of the consumer/business space now. I would be amazed if you haven't noticed that, it's only been like a huge thing for nearly a decade now. The fact is official reps from companies do purposely interact with consumers on social media. And most of them are very good, including here, but sometimes they slip. You seem to feel they are beyond criticism. For whatever reason, but that's simply not true.

Also, multiple people simply did not keep track of the conversation and implied the tension was about things it wasn't about, because they were uninformed. Like NotSoFatHead.

Nobody is calling for a boycott of Noble, nobody is storming their headquarters, nobody is yelling with pitchforks that bad things happened to the first batch of Triumph - you are acting like this is a full frontal attack when really it's mostly a nothingburger. But the rep was asked about any kind of ETA for the new batch with the manufacturing fix he literally said he went to go check on, and he definitely did act evasive and coy. That's what happened and it's ok to observe that. So don't get your panties in a bunch now.

This is a social media platform, not a vendor or manufacturer support forum. You, sir, I’m afraid, are quite out of line. Unless the Wizard is paid to be on here, he owes you and everyone else, PRECISELY zero. You don’t like the memes he posts then click ignore. Get a grip on your expectations.
You said this to another poster.

I think it's a very bizarre way to think that companies to whom we give hundreds and even thousands of dollars to owe us nothing and precisely zero. You have a strange kind of corporate/business worship where the consumer is seemingly just a patsy who is at the whims of the great businesses only, and should shut up and keep quiet, and the businesses are beyond criticism. Bizarre. Kiss the ring I guess?

Got my MTW4s today. I like the copper finish. (wanted something new/different)
Put on the same Flexifit foam tips I used with my MTW3s. They are perfect for me.

Connected to my Mac Mini M2 Pro and Creative BT-W5. Playing using Apple Music lossless and as you see in the app; aptX adaptive. 24bit/96khz.
I think they sound VERY good with some Personalization Sound tuning. (needed just a little extra crispness)
Noticably better with BT-W5 vs AAC from my iPhone 15 Pro Max, but AAC sounds more than good enough as well.

After 15 mins of testing, I packed down my Aurvana Ace 2, and put out the ad for sale...

For now I've just tested sound, fit/comfort, BT range and one phone call. If anyone is interested, I can update after several calls and when I've tested ANC/transparency mode/Anti wind mode.

definitely want to hear more impressions. and what phone are you using them with?

Someone here posted that the bose qc ii eartips fit the oneplus buds 3. Those tips also fit the oppo enco w51. I'm wondering what other tws fit these tips? And yes, I'm semi-implying I would by a tws just to use these bose tips. Haha. What an odd bunch we are....
Thanks for the 20 bucks I just spend on the Bose website for those tips to use with the Elite 10 lol

The Aurvana Ace 2 had gotten an update recently and the anc is much better now. Not incredible, but better.
I updated the Aurvana Ace 2 and took them for a ride today. Their anti-wind capability has not improved at all. I know that it uses the Qualcomm chip that has Aptx lossless and features adaptive ANC unlike the regular Ace. I was wondering if an adaptive wind mode like Jabra's is something that Qualcomm does as well, and apparently the answer is no.

I'm beginning to think that Aviot is using Jabra's tech, maybe via a license deal. They both do adaptive wind mode very well In the exact same manner. Neither features aptx. The Aviots having LDAC is the only difference. Maybe someone who knows Japanese can find out what chip is in the Aviots

Regarding your perspective on item 1 I actually agree with you, but will still list it because, well, this is the real world and unfortunately delays or poor practices by vendors and manufacturers happens, a lot...

Edit - to be clear: I am not claiming in this or any specific case that there were poor practices by anyone.
