What's the difference in sound using the stock op-amp versus the AD8397 or the AD8620? Anybody try them all?

Thanks

We're too busy listening to our go-vibes

I've got an AD8397 in my new V4 and I'm really loving it. The 8397 precludes swapping in any other opamp so I'm not able to comment. It will take a while before anyone gains enough experience to answer your question.

Dont have V4 but do have a V3 so not sure if this would help you.

I found with my GoVibe III that the:

OPA2227 was a bit thin on sound and was not as natural sounding.
AD8066 was much better and was installed in my vibe by Norm.
AD8620 now for me this was the new standard, better bass, better everything, this now is how I use my Vibe.

Also need to take into account the cans in use to. I am using Senns HD600, but others may have a different view, if in the Grado camp.

I wasnt sure which op-amp to choose either but Norm recommended the AD8397 for my headphones (Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro) If you're not sure which op-amp to choose try emailing him ,he was very quick to respond ..my go-vibe v4 should be here next week and I cant wait to hear it

I had a headsave amp with the dual mono 627's and loved them...I wonder which of the new op amps sound most like the 627's?
