Hey everyone,

So what’s the best gag you can play on April 1? The one where the gag is real.

We’ve just opened a retail store.

Yes, you read that right. And yes, we’re 100% serious. in fact, the store is open today, and I'll be there, and if anyone’s in the area, please feel free to stop by.

“You may be serious, but are you crazy?” you may be asking. “A retail store? I thought you weren’t hot on dealers!”

Well, we may be crazy, but this isn’t really a dealer. More a company store. And you can really think of this as a beta test more than anything. We’ll see how this works, learn a lot, and see how it goes. If you want the whole story, we have a press release, a promo page, and a Schiit Happened chapter for you to peruse.

The Schiitr looks like the perfect place to slow sip some whiskey, listen to some good music, and shoot the schiit with hi-fi enthusiasts that aren't pumped full of bulls**t. Sadly I'm nowhere near this place but I wish it great success so that I can visit someday!

EDIT: the whiskey part might need to be done discreetly, ha.

yeah, sorry, i just realized it after scrolling again. This time I was reading the whole page. I think my coffee was settling in now. Thanks.
I think I'll try to stop by tomorrow morning or noonish. All depends on how early I can wake up. I guess I'll not bring my headphones since you say you have literally every headphone ever made

We actually say we DON'T have literally every headphone ever made. Especially with most of our headphones going to LA CanJam shortly.

Best to bring the ones you're familiar with.

Visited the Shiitr today. It was..... the Shiit! Wish I could have stayed longer but I had other errands to run for the day + work. Went in really wanting to test out the Asgard 2. Liked it a lot but the Valhalla 2 was next to it so I tried that and ended up enjoying that just as much, if not more and I usually don't really care too much for Tubes. But what really impressed me is the Jotunheim. Not the sound the capabilities but how cool (in temperature) operated. Ever since I moved to Southern California, I've avoided higher end amps because of how hot it gets and I don't like running the AC all the time during the summer (because i'm poor and cheap in that way) but the Jotunheim impressed me in multiple ways. I think my next DAC/Amp will be the Jotunheim. I really need to stop spending money. Looking forward to going there again soon. Next time I'll try to bring friends :)

Good choice of the source there (Surface Pro 3/4). I find them to provide far cleaner USB sound compared to other laptops/PCs. That's why it is the main source that I use

Just a quick note: the hours for the Schiitr will be changing as of next week. We're going to be open both weekend days, but at the cost of a couple of weekdays. So, as of May, the new hours will be:

Thursday-Sunday 10AM-6PM.

Being open both weekend days allows us to fit into more people's schedules—the weekdays are usually pretty dead until Friday.
