I wonder why they don't make more of these. My projector has them and it's quite helpful. I guess most other equipment isn't used in the dark?

My bedroom Sony TV came with one and I love it. Makes it easy to find and use for nighttime viewing.

My recently-acquired Harman-Kardon Reciever and DVD both came with illuminated remotes. The reciever remote is simply fantastic. The DVD-remote suffers from a minor flaw, namely that the text is not printed on the buttons, but above them, making it difficult to read, even with the illumination turned on. Other than that, they are both great. AFAIK, many home theater products come with illuminated remotes, so they are not that rare.
