Hi
smily_headphones1.gif

Any of the listed amps working well with HD 650 and D2000? Must handle D2000's low impedance, that's why I'm asking.

Gilmore Lite
X Can V3
Corda Audio HA-2 mk II
Corda Cantate
Darkvoice 332 (337)

Nothing for the money touches the DV332 with the HD650s. How it copes with lower impedance cans is another question - the jury's out: some say yes, others no. The 337 may be the better choice as it seems to work extremely well with both high and low impedance headphones.

The MF X-CAN V3, especially with the Pink Floyd mods, is a very good amp, and works well with both high and low impedances. In my opinion, however, it doesn't hold a candle to the DV amps. The 332 beats it in every area.

As Godkin indicates get them in this order:

DV337
DV332 (close to DV337)
XCAN v3 (preferably with the PinkFloyd Mods, PSU and X10 v3)

Then get the RAL Senn cable, and take the foam out of the HD650s.

I have heard both and I would not go this far! IMO the V2 is more fun to listen to than the V3, even though the V3 may be the more "correct amp".

Thx guys!

Darkvoice 337 is quite expensive. What about Darkvoice 336i as an alternative?

I actually need a DAC too, thinking of getting Zero after reading about it in this forum.

Hey, you only live once, get the DV337 :)

After all, a 100 years from now , what will it matter?

You can get the DV 337 under 700.00 and it, IMO, is one of the best amps around. YMMV etc.

Maybe I only live once..., but DV337 will bring me right to heaven

This Graham Slee Solo also gets positive feedbacks, was reading about it recently. Well, maybe I must consider the 337 after all?? Hope it matches the low impedance for sure ??

Graham Slee "Green" Solo - for your Denon D2000

The 337 is so powerful it will drive just about anything and wash your clothes, make a mean espresso and fry eggs on the tubes all at the same time.

It will not serve as a substitute engine for your car, however, so it may not be the "perfect amp" after all :)

Seriously , though, it is very powerful amp.

Do you listen mainly to classical music with it? May be very light and neutral..

Afraid not, i'm mostly listening to rock, pop, jazz etc. But all of these genre's sound great through it, even more so with the 325i connected to it.
