Since I found HD555 @$99, I'm seriously considering to get one of those famous headphone, but while I'm reading threads here that talking about HD595, I might fall in love with HD595 even the price is almost double.

Give me some ideas which I better get to be happy??

the price jump form the 555's to the 595's doesnt justify the minimal perfomance gap. IMO of course

It's simple... if you can afford the HD595, take the HD595, it's better. And you will not have to complain about your choice. If you can not afford the HD595, take the HD555, and you will not complain about your choice because you didn't have the money...

To my ear difference was clear. But you should first listen to them yourself.

If you end up with 595s I'm sure you'll be happy.

Well, apparently they are now in stock at Newegg, but they cost $220 now.

edit - oops, didn't realize you were talking about the 555s
