Hey guys, I ordered a gilmore v2 from antess like a month ago, when it was on sale. I got the idea that he had 10 amps that were already built and ready for shipping.. But I guess not since I haven't received mine yet.. I've mailed him twice, first time was 2 weeks ago (I think). But he wont reply

.

Is there anyone else waiting for their Gilmore v2 and know if hes absent or something?

Thanks.

Communication and antness have not a good synergy at all, they are not a good match at all, it seems that they are designed for different impedances

As per my experience, honestly, I wish I would have been taken this same decision are you taking now, at that time, instead of this unfortunate and horrible course everything took.....my fault, I guess......good luck on that, and I strongly suggest you to try the new Perreaux SHX-1 later, instead of the Gilmore, if he finally answer you, and give you the refund......good luck....the Perreaux is a much better sounding amp and better bang for the buck at 300.00....

Canceling is always your right as a consumer! I know Justin has been rather busy lately. When I talked to him at the end of the V2 sale he had sold out his entire stock of V2s and he was waiting on parts before he could assemble any more. I know he was looking at a 6 week wait for the new parts minimum. I don't think you should take it personally, but better communication would have been a good customer service move.

I can respect a informed opinion, which yours appears to be, and since I haven't had the pleasure of hearing a Perreaux, I can't really say much!

I agree, he could have easily told me this himself.. Even if he doesn't know the timeframe of shipping etc.. He could have at least sent me a mail telling me that.. It's the right and polite thing to do.

IMO, if I feel that the person I'm dealing with is not taking me seriously, Id rather take my business else where. But, this is the first time this has happened to me.

Furthermore I have not spammed him with mails.. I sent him two mails before I ordered and now two more after(unfortunately unanswered). And then hopefully my last mail asking him for a refund. I really don't want to waste any more of his time, he seems like a very busy guy.

I didn't have a good experience ordering the gilmore lite either. agreed on EMS shipping when I paid (I have an email to prove it). was told a certain date that the lites would ship. when the time came, the lites shipped more than a week late, and was shipped airmail.

at least the lites arrived safely

For what it's worth, I really recommend it. It's a better "bang for the buck" than the V2, and sound better to me by a pretty good margin, given my tastes. Plus I find the build quality to be better.
