Decision time, Anyone want to sway one way or the other or is it a flip of the coin between the Gilmore V2 and Emmeline XP7 w/ps. I'll be using HD555's and Ety ER-4P.
I considered the Gilmore Lite w/ps, but I really like the advantage of dual input and 2 headphone out on the V2.
Also considered the Xin Super and SR-71, I don't plan on going portable.

The first thing to do is read the impressions that have been posted about both of the amplifers. The V2 is a bit more energetic, in terms of features it has some advatages you've already mentioned, plus it can be used as a rather limited preamp. The XP-7 is smoother and of course portable, even if you don't think you'll be using that feature. It's also more expensive. I personally prefer the Senn 600 and 650 with Ray's amps, but I prefer the Etys with the V2, that is truly a wonderful sounding combination. I would see if you can find a meet in your area or otherwise make arrangments to listen to both.

All kinds of exotic stuff. I just noticed your set up on your last post.
