Getting a coaxial output from a mac mini?

I was thinking USB would be the only way to do it. I'd probably have to get one of those professional USB interfaces just to get a good digital output. Normally i'd just thow an M-audio card in there and be done with it, but it doesn't have a digital out already.

Anyways, if anyone knows of a device that just converts usb sound output into a coax output, and works on a mac, let me know. Its mostly so I can connect my computer to my main dac that I use in my stereo.

Yep, you can only do it with an external USB or FireWire solution. I would generally recommend FireWire over USB, because I prefer the connector solution which I find to be more rubust, as well as the better data transfer allowing 24/96 and high power carrying capacity.
