Got my Shockwave 3 IEM's here (no mic or controls) with a 4-strand silver cable (which I'd assume is L+/L-/R+/R-) and just wondering if anyone knows how I can tell which wire is which since they aren't color coded?
I'm confident in my ability to do the minuscule soldering and fiddling around but have no idea as to the actual electronics of something like this. I also assume any 2.5mm 4-pole plug will work as well? Some on eBay are listed as "Ground/Mic/Left/Right" but I'd guess the "Ground/Mic" could be used as "Ground Left/Ground Right"?
Here's a pic of the plug in question:

I'd like to think that 4 connections = connect whatever wires go where..."Mic" shouldn't matter, right?
Anyways ANY help would be appreciated, thanks!
