He He.. My ultimate headphone gaming guide. I really need to upgrade this, so it will be the ultimate headphone gaming guide. Theres a more indepth headphone guide on mlg.com or mlgpro.com. The guy post here, and easily the best guide I have seen.

Id try the JVC HRX900's.. 65 bucks for true audiophile sound. Theres a huge thread on them here and on hardforum.com.

They are a rebandaged AD900.

The thread on mlgpro.com is called "The headphone thread". I myself would recommend Sennheiser hd 595s. They are great at soundstaging, at least in the games I play most (Halo, Bioshock...) and they are open, which is nice if you're a competitive gamer, you can hear and talk to your team through the phones. I love them for music, too.

They're pretty close to you budget, around $180.

No they're not... AD900 is open, HARX900's are closed.

Don't know about re-badged, but the RX900 (closed) does seem similar to the A900 (closed), and it sells for $57 shipped. If wanting open headphones, the AD700 would be a good choice for around $100. In this price range I'd probably go for the RX900 and an inexpensive amp.

Then generic? Rip off sounds negative.
