Gaming cans = A900, DT 770. All 5.1 gaming cans tend to have pretty low quality sound. I don't expect this trend to change w/ these.

5.1 headphones? Sounds corrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrny.

If you want a solid, cheap gaming headphone, look up some HP460's or K81DJ's. The murder gaming headphone is the DT770.

And not all 70 eur Senns are good. Most are, not all. There is still some Senn suckage around there (HD515, for example)

I want solid sound when gaming, not too much air. And I can say that with a 5.1 you don't get a solid sound... it sounds, well.. not good ^^
For 150usd you can get a lot better. Killer gaming headphones are A900,Dt770 but you could also consider a HD595 which I am using myself.

Thoughts? Opinions? This is the first time I've heard of/seen this set.

5.1 headphones are more of a gimmick to me.. & Only the expensive pioneer 5.1 headphones sound good IMO..The AT 500/700/900. AKG 501. DT770. Sen 555/595.. Will destroy the turtle in hi fidelity sound reproduction.

The AK-R8 is everything you need for an amazing PC gaming experience that’s far superior to ordinary stereo headphones or surround sound speakers.
Turtle beach..

You gotta love Marketing.. Throw away your R10's/AKG1000/L3000 guys.. We have a new champ in town...

Well.. sound quality isn't as important as audio positioning in gaming. But I honestly never see many professionals using 5.1 headsets unless they are sponsored by these companies.

I often see them using A900, HD555, or the Icemats or Steelsounds. But the latter two are more likely out of sponsorship deals. Though the lack of a microphone is a problem for the A900 and HD555, but if you have an older headset you can wear that around your neck. I don't know of any good clip on microphones that terminate in a 1/8 plug.

Audio positioning or audio mediocracy & audio confusion. 8 drivers in each channel sounds like a smear job, especially for 150.00.. There are many stereo headphones that are great at audio positioning..
Not attacking you Crazy.
