I don't know how many of you are into the punk scene -- be assured that all my ancient reviews of headphones and equipment are based on classical and jazz. But I love listening to and playing punk music.
THE FEST is a punk/indie festival taking place over three days from November 18th through the 20th. Against Me! will be there with their touring openers, The Soviettes, Smoke or Fire, and The Epoxies. I saw them last night in Poughkeepsie (I'll never go back to that crappy town again) and Against Me! was just amazing. The Soviettes are good too. Among the 100+ bands that are playing with them I recognize None More Black (the guy from Kid Dynamite), Ted Leo and the Pharmacists (an okay indie band), and This Bike is a Pipe Bomb (folk punk at its country-est).
The website is http://www.thefestfl.com and tickets are $35 in advance. If I could make it, I would, but I can't. It'd be great if some Head-Fiers could go and report. Also be sure to post about your latest concert experiences and upcoming good times. If you hear about something going on in Albany, southern VT, or western MA, please be sure to post that as I may very well be able to go.
