I noticed the JVC Victor FX500 are open on the ends and probably let some sound leak out. If I wore these at the office (I work in a land of cubes), would my neighbors get pissed?

If sound leaks out of the FX500 enough to annoy work-mates, you will likely kill your ears sooner than be made redundant. They don't leak that badly. But, they are not sealed.

Yeah, from memory, I don't recall them leaking that bad at all.

It's really not an issue. They'll be fine for the lab-rat maze.
