New Head-Fier
Sorry for posting this here, but as a new member I cannot post it in the headphone amps section. Also, I'm not a circuits and soldering type of person. Just a long time hi-fi user.
FX-Audio recently released an updated version of the DAC X6 and I have two questions. BTW, I'm not referring to the X7. This update is called the M6.
FIND IT HERE:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LD3DTYD/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=A1SU8XS5ZKITOE&psc=1
AND HERE:

KEY Chips used in the X6 are:
DAC chipsets: CS8416, CS4398, OPA213
KEY Chips used in the new M6 are:
SA9023 + CS8422 + AK4452VN + OPA2134 + MAX9722
-----------------
QUESTION 1: Are the chips use in the new M6 a true and beneficial improvement as to performance and/or durability?
QUESTION 2: The older X6 uses a 12v 1a (or higher) standard power supply. For the M6 they are using a USB wall adapter that is 5v 1a and a mini USB connection on the rear of the DAC. Again, I have zero technical background so I would like to know if this USB wall plug at only 5v should be concerning as to performance and/or durability?
Thank you for any opinions you can offer on these two issues.
