My mum did the kindest thing of introducing Mr. Ipod shuffle to Mr. Washing Machine today.
S**t.

EDIT: My ex71's were plugged in, so they are gone for ever too

Dont turn it on or use it. Flush it with clean sterile water to flood out the detergents. Let it air dry for about a week, then turn on the power. It may still work if you haven't tried to use it yet.

You learn the hard way. Don't buy replacement ex71s, they are the most overrated $30 headphones on the planet.

I have some white ones unfortunately, cos they look nice, anyway my Zen headphone jack shrinks if I try to use them on it.

Sorry to hear about the shuffle, but try rinsing it and leaving it to dry for a week or so before completely writing it off

/U. - who dropped his watch today from about 4ft. height coming in to work today... Picked it up and noted that it had stopped

Swears loudly and metally counts off the money required to buy or replace broken watch. Swears even more and puts damaged watch on shoulder bag. 5 hours later, picks up bag without noticing watch first. Watch is once again dropped from 4 ft height

Picks up watch again (swears first this time), but then notices that watch is now running again

Morale: Don't give up just yet
