Full Size Headphones - Recommendation

Hi All,
 
I'm a long time member of the community but haven't had the time/money in the past few years to be that involved really.

Need your help now as I'm looking for a pair of Headphones for office use
 
- Circumaural / Over the Ear
- Good Isolation both inwards and outwards
- Size is not a problem
- Comfortable for everyday 8h+ use
- Work Unamped (decent phone) or from cheap portable Amp
- Priced below 200 USD, ideally below 150
- to play mostly Rock/Prog/not-so-heavy-metal
 
I'm in the US for a week, so it could be an opportunity to grab a bargain....

The Sony MDR-7506 is a great budget option for your choice of music and they are comfortable for long use. The con would be the long cable if you intended to use them as a portable headphone.

Have you looked at the ATH-M50x? They are probably the most recommended headphone and are under $150. With velour earpads you could wear them for a while.

You pretty much described the ATH-M50x use case and budget to a T.
 
Wish there was a sexier recommendation I could give but I think for your uses, budget, and needs the old tried and true M50X are probably your best bet.
 
EDIT: I wouldn't recommend velour pads, though you can try them in if you wish. They can alter the sound, expespecially the bass, from what I've heard. Also not sure if they'd weaken the seal.
