Hi. I'm new to this forum. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about these headpnones:
Fujikon

I have been given them to try out before buying. I want to use them as reference phones for when I'm mixing my own recordings. I use professional monitors to do the actual mix but also like to check it on phones.

They do sound pretty good to my ears and as far as I can tell the specs don't look too bad. However, all the references to Fujikon I can find on these forums seem pretty negative. So I was hoping that someone more knowledgeable could enlighten me as to whether they're likely to be any good, say compared to something like the Audio-Technica ATH-M40's?

I know neither of these are exactly high-end but I'm just looking for something reasonably good that will give me a fairly flat response for accurate mixing.

Thanks in advance.

I have never heard of that brand. The first thing that comes to mind when you mentioned studio mixing is the Sony-V6. Its got a very flat response, and is used in lots of studios.

Thanks for your response jgonino. I know there are plenty of good models out there, including I'm sure the Sony's you mention. It's just that I have a credit note for the shop where these came from and they are the best he has. So I am wondering if anyone knows about them in particular as I'd like to keep them if they'll be good enough for the job. However, if they're just cheap and nasty according to anyone's 'expert' opinion, then I'll bring them back and get better ones elsewhere.
