Title pretty much says it all. I'm suffering from upgraditis (dyh-f!) and want to get something to compare with my Panasonic HJE300s.
Now I can get the FS1's for about half of the Denons...should I jump on the deal or should I save up for the Denons?

I'm picking up a pair of 551k's soon, I'm sick of my <20 sony crapola's.

Not that it helps you much though >_>

Seemed to be the best in the <100 USD price range though.

I would say the FS1 for sure. They are comfy and sound fantastic! You MUST burn-in for a minimum of 50-70 hours, the sound will change a lot! The bass becomes less muddy and more controlled, mids will come out a tad more and highs will pretty much stay the same, they are laid back which is perfect for me but a slight EQ'ing of the highs will bring them out fantastically!

Before the burn-in period, they will sound a tad better than the Sennheiser CX300 so don't make up your mind before you have performed burn-in of 50hrs minimum!

IMO they look cool too, heaps of people at work have commented on this point.
