My sincere apology. I misread your post, what was I thinking it was a 4.5V Airhead.

Don't worry about the misunderstanding. I will let the TAH and its accessories hang around here for a few more days before auctioning it off on eBay. So if anyone wants the unit, please don't hesitate to leave a msg here or PM me.

Guess I should chill. I have too many potty amps as it is.

I suppose that besides a components upgrade, the 4.5V applies a 9V step-up converter? Seems a 9V would be more effective in driving the ops, and considerably light. R.

4ye?

Yaaay!Phew! Glad you found a buyer. Kinda feel that 9Vs can lighten your change a bit myself.

Don't know if this will uplift your mood a bit ICU, but I got my 4.5v TAH at a discount price of 159, which was the same price as the old 9v TAH that I have for sale right now. Any owners of the old TAH would qualify for the discount. You might want to check with Todd at Headroom for details. Good luck!

Oh yeah, I remember Todd stating somewhere on Head-Fi that the discount expires on the last day of April, so hurry!

Found buyer in the local area, sale withdrawn!

And ICU, the 4.5v unit can be bumped up to a 9v if you feed it with that much power via a walwart. From what I heard, the 9v has slightly better bass but cuts out some of the inner details and the top end treble. I got the 4.5 though mainly because of the battery life issue. Can't stand having to carry a whole bunch of 9vs around all the time when I can enjoy the same sound at home using a walwart.
