On close inspection youll see some light scratches on the cover, otherwise in perfect working order. Player only, but will include a (non original) case. One of the best sounding Sonys ever produced and the first model with ESP.

Will operate on nimh 2 AAs for 5-6 hours or 9v line in. Gold plated line out etc.

Payment can be made via DD or Paypal (or other by neg).

To answer the many questions I have had via PM;

1) CONDITION

Cosmetic: To the casual observer the unit looks good, with a couple of minor blemishes on close observation.

The lid is painted a metallic dark grey enamel with a thick clear gloss coating. There are a few areas where the gloss has been scuffed, but these spots need to reflect light to become visible.
Where top rolls over to become the right hand side there is a little scratching (like a thin black pencil line) that would be about 20mm all up if you joined all the small segments together.
The original *its a Sony* sticker with the orange dots remains on the top right hand corner.

Mechanical: Excellent

I dont think this unit has had a great deal of use.
Absolutely no signs of wear or freeplay on any of the controls.
Motor and transport mechanism is silent.
Reads my cdr's without problem.
Backlight functional.
ESP working for portable use.

2) POSTAGE

Buyer pays post.

Shipping price to USA / Europe:
Airmail with insurance (7 - 10 days to deliver) is $15.

3) PRICE

Reserve Price ... $150
Instant Sale ... $200

Please contact me should you have any further queries.

Hi,
First, I want to let you know that I have nothing to do with the seller. I just want to share my experience on this unit.

For those of you who can afford to pay 150 dollars, please, don't be hesitate! This is probably the best Discman Sony have ever made. The sound quality on both the phone out and line out is excellent. I have this unit myself, and honestly, take it. The line out is the best features on this unit. I don't think there is another Discman that has the line out quality of the D-515.

Good luck on the sale, Buddha.
