A very nice preamp but sadly no headphone jack. Very good condition, I'd call it a 9+.
This is a two-box stereo preamp, one box containing the power supply. The remote control works well and is simple and useful. The volume control uses the Melos "pho-tentiometer". I think maybe it dates from the time they were just bringing out the "Music Director" because that's the manual I received with this unit. One other nice feature is balanced outputs.
I don't want to admit what I paid for it (don't actually remember exactly, but too much) - I'll sell it for $700, and you pay shipping (two boxes). A couple of day here and I eBay it.

Wow, bump, that is a great price for the 333... Dad has one for his main system since he likes the Melos sound and it replaced a sha-1. The 333 is, as I remember, quite a bit more musical than the sha-1.
