Wonderful on classical music and great acoustical recordings! No gimmicks here, just the real thing.

Offering 1 pc. BRAND NEW Jays q-JAYS reference earphones with headset cable module for iPhone/iOS. This is the current version: 2nd version, mk II. q-JAYS of Sweden is the world's smallest high-end earphones with exchangeable cables.

Brand new, factory-sealed box! The plastic seal is in perfect as new condition with no stickers or shelf wear. Box has no dents, no water damages, no nothing except the brilliance of a brand new item.

Retail and online price today is $299. When this q-JAYS mk II (in all-metal) came 2015 (first on Amazon in 2016) it was $400 plus $70 for the cable set.

My price is $199 plus postage cost (registered fully insured mail worldwide = $28). Shipping from Sweden. Customs charges and taxes may occur, they are on you (please inform immediately upon paying if you need special instructions on customs sticker). If you find any other q-JAYS set cheaper, it probably is the old mk I (plastic body, great sound but inferior build to the mk II at twice the price). This is your chance to finally join the community of q-JAYS lovers.

– View my eBay listing for a more complete description & great pictures:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/283935506556

P.S. If you skip eBay and buy from me directly, I will throw in a free extra headset cable: new q-JAYS original with remote/microphone. Your choice: iOS or Android Cable Module! Both the enclosed cable set (inside the sealed q-JAYS iPhone set package) and the Android version allows using the q-JAYS for audio only if that's your preference! q-JAYS impedance is 50 Ohm.

WARRANTY
This set was bought by me earlier from the authorized retail chain in Sweden. Factory warranty started on my purchase date so the item you will receive has Jays Factory Warranty valid until August 17, 2020. Rest assured though that the quality control is superlative, I see practically no complaints.

Furthermore, by the Swedish Consumer Sales Act, the q-JAYS you buy from me is protected against original faults until August 17, 2021. That is, practically a year from now! This will give you plenty of time to check that they work perfectly! Also, to enjoy the safety of warranty protection against factory faults for a year. Such a claim (for free repair or replacement) has a burden on the consumer to prove that there is an original fault, i.e. that the problem is related not to misuse but to some error or weakness in manufacturing. If say one earbud goes silent with no trace of taking in water or being hit by a bullet, then that's an original fault.

All claims must be made by me here in Sweden, where these q-JAYS were purchased. Warranty is not transferable to your country. IF YOU FACE ANY SUCH PROBLEM DURING THE PERIOD MENTIONED, JUST CONTACT ME AGAIN AND I WILL HELP YOU OUT WITH THE CLAIM.

-Review from HEAD-FI.ORG

"From the packaging all the way to the individual contents, 'premium' and 'class' are consistently emphasised. Think Apple-like presentation except, it's in all-black fashion."
-Review from HEAD-FI.ORG

"Would I shell out $390 for earbuds? If you'd asked me that before, I'd have said, 'Never,' but after trying the q-Jays, I say, 'Hell yes.'"
-Engadget

"... have got natural as well as vivid voices and high speech intelligibility even at low listening levels ... The whole sound is highly authentic as well as natural and seems open and easy-going, which not many in-ears in that price range manage to achieve in my ears."
-Review from HEAD-FI.ORG

"I have got to say that these are the most comfortable universal in-ears I have ever experienced ... The q‑Jays are indeed a reference pair of earphones with the ability to extract spades of micro-details and presenting them in a relatively smooth signature ... The build quality is outstanding and puts many other similarly-priced offerings to shame ..."
-Headfonics

"For $400 you are getting a lot. This is an extremely compact form factor, they are very comfortable headphones and they sound great as well. So while they do beg a premium price, I think they are delivering something special, and they are certainly competing well against any ear monitors that cost a lot more."
-Digital Trends

"I have never tested anything that comes close to being as impressive as the 2nd generation q-Jays. They really are out of this world in terms of design and build quality. /.../ That's also why you'll be paying whopping $400 for these ... And if you want a model that supports smartphone calling and music playback control, that'll be an additional $70 just for the headset cable with in-line 3-button control. And overall the sound signature is fantastically balanced and amazingly airy. I could wear the q-Jays all day long without fatigue."
-Gadgetmac

"Ignoring the driver-number game or the price war from China, I think many will agree that the new q-JAYS is perhaps one of the most refined and well-engineered IEM in a total package that $400 can buy."
-Review from HEAD-FI.ORG

"The q-Jays [mk II] are a resurrected, new and improved version of what are in my mind one of the best pairs of headphones of the last decade. /.../ Small size, simple design and sublime sound make the q-Jays very special."
-Trusted Reviews.com

"Some might not know this, but JAYS of Sweden is actually one of the earliest audiophile IEM manufacturer around, joining the game well before the whole IEM bloom of recent years."

It can be shipped for $17, First-Class Airmail International to any place. But then no tracking # and no insurance. Haven't lost a package in decades (not ever, actually, but a few shipments to ME have been lost) so I feel the risk is manageable. But the risk is yours.

Otherwise, Registered and fully insured mail is $28. I pack extremely well.

BIGGER CHUNKS FROM VARIOUS REVIEWS:

"Our finest achievement
Made with the intention of crafting the world’s finest earphones, q-JAYS is built to deliver the most authentic and detailed sound experience possible. Its perfect timbre and high-resolution details were made possible by integrating advanced audio engineering with various state-of-the-art development techniques such as Metal Injection Molding, CNC and laser cutting. This is q-JAYS, our finest and most precise achievement till date."
-Jays

"World’s smallest with exchangeable cables
q-JAYS are the world’s smallest earphones made with exchangeable cables. Despite its small form factor, JAYS have managed to implement reliable, custom-made threaded connectors in each housing. With options for dedicated cable modules for Audio Only or with full-feature remote for iOS, Windows or Android. Choose the solution that best fits your needs and get to enjoy a pair of earphones that last longer."
-Jays (?)

"For $400 you are getting a lot. This is an extremely compact form factor, they are very comfortable headphones and they sound great as well.
So while they do beg a premium price, I think they are delivering
something special, and they are certainly competing well against any
ear monitors that cost a lot more."
-Digital Trends

"The q-Jays [mk II] ... new and improved version of what are in my mind one of the best pairs of headphones of the last decade ... This is what audio fidelity is really about ... You don't see earphones this high-end released all that often. Fantastic sound definition, excellent build quality, good isolation. […]
Where these earphones come into their own is with music of the tonal sophistication of ‘real’ instruments. That can mean orchestral stuff if that's your bag, but singer-songwriter fare works just as well. These earphones are masters of delivering the subtle parts of tone that most headphones can't hope to reveal.
Given the size of the JAYS q-JAYS, fitting in a removable cable is extremely impressive.
Verdict: Small size, simple design and sublime sound make the q-Jays very special.
Review Price: £300" [2016]

"Jays q-Jays (2nd Gen) In-Ear Monitors Review
When you take the q-Jays out of their foam tray you really start to understand why they're so expensive. It's incredible how small and solidly made each of these micro-sized in-ears are that it literally feels like you're holding a piece of highly advanced tech from the future. I have never tested anything that comes close to being as impressive as the 2nd generation q-Jays. They really are out of this world in terms of design and build quality. Even though the q-Jays fits on your finger tip with room to spare, the sound these tiny in-ear monitors produce is even bigger than you could ever imagine.
... That's also why you'll be paying whopping $400 for these bad, little boys. And if you want a model that supports smartphone calling and music playback control, that'll be an additional $70 just for the headset cable with in-line 3-button control.
And overall the sound signature is fantastically balanced and amazingly airy. I could wear the q-Jays all day long without fatigue.
We cannot find a single thing we dislike or think needs to be improved. The q-Jays are brilliant right the way through and are a must have if you want the smallest, very best reference quality in-ear headphones at under $400. If you’re ready to toss away those bulky headphones in exchange for incredibly portable, brilliantly engineered, stellar sounding reference-grade in-ears, the 2nd generation q-Jays from Jays should be the first in line on your gadget shopping list.
-Gadgetmac

"The Q-Jays 2nd Generation have changed my life. 'These are new headphones from Sweden. Try them out and tell me what you think.' Little did I know, these fateful words would open up a veritable Pandora's Headphone Case of eargasmic joy ... The Q-Jays Second Generation sound amazing ... It's an amazing earphone well-suited for just about everything, though if you're strictly looking for a bass-heavy earphone, there may be cheaper alternatives.
-Audio 46

"What we have here is a flagship IEM from Swedish company, JAYS. Starting at just 400 euro it is a competitively priced mid-tier entry into the ever growing market of premium universal fit in ear monitors, a market where you have to stand out to succeed!
... There is the option to have them cabled with a 3 buttoned remote with a MEMS Technology microphone for an extra 70 euros. You have compatibility with iOS, Android and Windows devices which is essential obviously.
... The q-JAYS are a beauty to behold; the design, form, feel, comfort and connectors are absolutely outstanding, I cannot stress this enough. They are comfortable and isolate pretty well too! They sound pretty good to back it all up as well, but certainly not my favourite in the price bracket sonically. People ask if they are worth the $400? Absolutely they are, I just wish every universal earphone could be such a joy to wear and use as this one is."
-Inearspace

"They come in at 400 Euros ... users can also opt for a specialised cable for Windows, iOS or Android for an extra 70 Euros as opposed to the default audio-only cable.
... The packaging of the Jays is among the best I have ever experienced from an in-ear model.
... As mentioned before, quality is absolutely stellar. The housings of the in-ears are made from stainless steel which has been sandblasted and modified to create a matte-black scratch-resistant finish. The shape of the housings have been created using Metal Injection Moulding which a few companies such as RHA and Final Audio have now been doing to precisely manufacture a design that not only improves the sound acoustics but also the ergonomics of the earphones.
... Owing to the small footprint of the q-Jays, I have got to say that these are the most comfortable universal in-ears I have ever experienced.
... The q-Jays are indeed a reference pair of earphones with the ability to extract spades of micro-details and presenting them in a relatively smooth signature.
... sibilance levels are kept to a minimum with an added focus to dampen down unnecessarily harsh highs.
... Characteristic of a typical balanced-armature earphone, the bass is responsive, tight and fast. Uncharacteristic of a balanced-armature earphone, however, the bass has a respectable amount of body which prevents it from being characterised as 'lean'.
... Overall then, Jays have released a truly first-rate product with the q-Jays. The build quality is outstanding and puts many other similarly-priced offerings to shame with their innovation and practical features."
-Headfonics

"One of the striking things about Jays' products is the impeccable detail in packaging. Much like breaking into a new iPhone box, the design and feel of the packaging is something to behold. It would indeed be a delight to bring them home from the shop and assemble them for the first time."
-Gizmag

"Would I shell out $390 for earbuds? If you'd asked me that before, I'd have said, 'Never,' but after trying the q-Jays, I say, 'Hell yes.'"
-Engadget

"The q-Jays are the ultimate evidence that break-in is a real phenomenon. After just 3 hours of play time, the q-Jays already sounded a little different. 20 hours of break-in time later, and it became clear a transformation was taking place. That’s good news for our report on the q-Jays sound quality, but will most consumers be so patient, assuming they're even aware of the need to break in their headphones? We have our doubts.
... If you're even considering plunking down $400 for an in-ear headphone, then premium sound quality is clearly a big priority for you, and, frankly, you'd probably spend a little bit more if it got you closer to your ideal sound. With that in mind, we decided to put the q-Jays against the AudioFly's flagship IEM, the AF-180, which features four balanced armatures for the premium price of $550.
To date, the AF-180 remain our favorite consumer-level in-ear headphone in terms of sound quality, but the q-Jays get extremely close for less money, and they are far more comfortable and convenient as well. Jays has done a great job here, and they are to be commended for their efforts."
-Digital Trends

"Like acoustic music, jazz, classical. That sort of stuff. These are brilliant, they are some of the best on the market in my opinion, of the ones I've heard anyway. Because they never get sharp or strained or in any sort of way annoying to listen to, they're always really nice to listen to. Even with tracks that usually do get sharp, and that's without actually being rolled off at the top ... the treble is extremely good ... they obviously did their job very well as far as tuning these."

Various reviews of Jays q-JAYS v 2.0 from HEAD-FI.ORG; snippets:

https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/jays-q-jays-v2-0.20930/reviews

"The packaging reminds me of when I get a new Apple product. Sleek and exciting!"

"First and foremost, I'd like to highlight JAYS' impeccable attention to detail. From the packaging all the way to the individual contents, "premium" and "class" are consistently emphasised. Think Apple-like presentation except, it's in all-black fashion."

"Any other review you read will echo my sentiment here – beautiful and solid. These things are so tiny yet as soon as you feel one in your palm you will feel its weight. The solid stainless steel body is sleek and inconspicuous."

"Dan’s drums were nicely toned, and a key factor for me is how lush the crashes are; and oh how beautiful they were. Tim’s violin was another beautiful sound to experience. The soundstage and instrument separation really set the q-Jays apart as an IEM. I’ve been used to IEMs making the music feel like it’s in such a small room, but the q-Jays pushes everything out so well."

"I was blown away by the q-Jays with extended listening. They are superbly built, sound fantastic and amazingly comfortable for long sessions. These are a must for my collection, as mentioned before, they won’t replace my 1964 Ears, instead they will provide me a different avenue to enjoy my music, but also allow some genres to shine (classical etc). The soundstage is what really sets these apart, wide and spatial, giving you a true sense of stage. I really can’t wait to get my hands on a pair ..."

"Some might not know this, but JAYS of Sweden is actually one of the earliest audiophile IEM manufacturer around, joining the game well before the whole IEM bloom of recent years."

"As always, being simple yet elegant is how JAYS like to present their products – no difference with the new q-JAYS on this aspect as well. I guess this is what the Nordic’s charm is all about – treating simplicity as a beauty of its own while doesn’t compromise in styling or functionality. Now that’s class."

"Accessories wise, you’ll get all that are needed – a round hard case that holds the earpieces can also be used for storage once the inner foam is taken out. 5 pairs of silicone single flange eartips of various size and a pair of Comply foam tip. Last but not least - the removable cable."

"The cables employ custom threaded SSMCX connectors and seem to function brilliantly."

"Build quality is excellent, perhaps in many ways some of the best I have seen."

"The metal filter is also excellent example of JAYS engineering capability where they choose to CNC and laser cut it out instead of going with the more conventional manufacturing process. Last but not least is the rather unassuming housing that is formed by stainless steel injection molding and followed by a matte finish using a special metal vapor deposit process. All and all, the attention to detail is unparalleled to all other IEM I have seen."

"Sound signature wise, the new q-JAYS is somewhere between a neutral and a warm+sweet sound, with a slightly rich tone. Bass has good quality and reaches down deep to the 20Hz, but it is qualitatively just a bit more of being neutral. Won’t be enough for any basshead, but shouldn’t feel lacking for everyone else."

"Midrange is my favourite part in the q-JAYS frequency response. Listening to Anna Maria Jopek's Bukowina reveals the competence of these IEMs especially in delivering vocals. The projected depth renders a euphoric and intimate experience especially when string instruments are involved. Tonality is perfect, ..."

"The mids are really detailed, natural and highly resolving, have got natural as well as vivid voices and high speech intelligibility even at low listening levels, which is a typical thing for in-ears with Balanced Armature transducers. The whole sound is highly authentic as well as natural and seems open and easy-going, which not many in-ears in that price range manage to achieve in my ears.
Treble is detailed as well and renders instruments very nicely separated from each other, with an accurate and clean differentiation."

"So how is the q-JAYS as a "Reference" monitor? In my experience, it's a great pair of reference IEMs when listening at a low volume level. However, I don't think the q-JAYS sound their best when used outdoors or in noisy environments."

"The overall resolution is on a high level and indeed does justice to the price tag."

"Sum-up
We have seen triple (if not more) drivers IEM offered on the same price range and we have also seen sub-$100 hybrid IEM from China these days – so does the new q-JAYS really stands a chance? If anything, I’ll say JAYS have managed to make the dual driver BA sexy again, and that’s no small feat on its own. Ignoring the driver-number game or the price war from China, I think many will agree that the new q-JAYS is perhaps one of the most refined and well-engineered IEM in a total package that $400 can buy. In other words, while q-JAYS may not be standing as one of the best IEM of its time like the original q-JAYS once did, it is still a relevant IEM of the current market. Kudos to JAYS, It is the proof that form and function can indeed be married in an uncompromised union."

"Just like its predecessor, the 2nd generation q-JAYS are tiny. Certainly one of the smallest in-ear monitors I've ever tried, second only to Aurisonics' Rockets. Although small in size, these IEMs are sturdy - built from solid stainless steel coated with a scratch-resistant, anti-fingerprint, matt charcoal black finish. The physical properties of the enclosures ensure better sonic performance from the dual balanced armature drivers. The shape of the IEMs are perfect for deep insertion into the ear canal. In addition to that, secure fit and comfort are easily achieved - thanks to q-JAYS' small size."

"To sum up, with q-JAYS you'll be getting a small, highly-ergonomic IEM that's built to last. And even though the cable may seem like a weak point at first glance, you just need to move past that because it's built to be tough with Kevlar reinforcement and good strain reliefs. But tough doesn't mean stiff and microphonic. Quite the contrary, the cable is supple and microphonics are controlled very well. If ergonomics, build quality, and looks were all that needed to be considered, then q-JAYS win. Game over. No questions asked in my mind. Going back to q-JAYS "About Us" information, they just killed it with the attention to detail put into these. BRAVO!!!"

"Conclusion:
Jays wanted to create a reference product, and I think they quite succeeded with the q-JAYS.
The consumer gets a valuable high-quality experience straight from the start ... Every tiny thing is well considered and elaborated into the tiniest detail.
Besides their really small size, the second generation of the q-JAYS feature a valuable and sturdy build quality alongside with an appealing and elegant design. The premium bodies are PVD-coated plus sealed and not only feature threaded SSMCX connectors, but also by far the best non-twisted cable that I ever got my hands on, as it is small in diameter, but highly flexible and very durable.
Tonally, these in-ears are more on the balanced side, but without sounding sterile or boring. The whole sound is extremely transparent, coherent, highly resolving and precise. The imaginary soundstage these in-ears picture is really good as well."
