THE PLAYER IS SOLD

This is a Philips model which is like the little brother of the famous Apple Powercd. As the Powercd, it can read audio CDs (reads burned CDs too) and Kodak image cdrom. Those players use the very good "swing arm" laser mechanism, only found normally on full-size desktop cdp. It doesn't however have the SCSI port of the Powercd and thus cannot be used as external CD-Rom player. While it can be used on batteries, it's too heavy and too big to be used as a portable. It doesn't have any anti-skip protection whatsoever too. Sound quality ? Outstanding. It has headphone and line out with mini jack in addition to the special cable connected at its back (terminated with RCA).

This particular unit is fully functional (I used it as bedside system for some time without any problems) and comes with all the accessories :

- player
- dock
- power supply (original philips, for 220VAC)
- remote
- audio (rca terminated) and data cable adapter

Price : 75€ (or 90$). Headfi contributors get a 5€ (or 6$) discount.

I will ship anywhere at real costs through the Belgian Post; shipping costs are for the buyer. Payment inside the Eurozone by wire transfer, outside by Paypal (I will take the fees in charge).

I'm potentially interested in trade, if it is worth it.

THE PLAYER IS SOLD

NB1 : The bottom right corner is slighlty dammaged (you can see dark plastic in an area roughly 2,3mm wide). Looking at it from the front at 30cm, it's barely visible.

NB2 : feedback on headfi : http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=28219 and on ebay : http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAP...rid=00940&iid=
