I have a pair of 2nd-hand, little used Magnepan Magneplanar MG III's. About 6 ft tall, maybe 30" wide, and a couple inches deep - ribbon-type speakers. They're in SoCal. Maybe worth half of the K's. When I was able to listen to them, I supplemented w/ a medium-power tunable sub. VERY nice.

... and there's that (the shipping/logistics), which is why I mentioned the region in which they now reside. In what part of this vast land are you?

Certainly in agreement re NOT practical/effective to ship, in this case. Oh well, it was a shot. Here's another: I also have a pair of SimAudio (stereo) amps (each of which I bridge, to use as single-channel power). They are matched with SimAudio's dual chassis preamp system. This setup (and the model #'s escape me at the moment) just barely preceded, and is built upon the technology of, their 'Moon' Amp System, which is of course what put those people 'on the map'. Drives these MGIII ribbon speakers nicely. [I no longer have a listening room (as I've relocated) and would like to pass these items on. Perhaps I'll post em in F/S forum(s).] I'll have a look at your pics.
