howdy up for sale is an aph-47 amp made by me. yaay.
specs are a direct copy of part values from the description/schematics posted on the web. ground "duity" is handled by a tle2426railsplitter, 3X330uf electrolytic caps and 1X1uf polystyrene cap on each side of virtual ground.
opamp chips are socketed, and can be rolled with diferent chips in either position. amp will include an ad-823 and a opa-2227 chip in sockets, ready to rock. be sure any amp chips you rool into the "current boosting" position are unity gain stable. the amp is setup so that the board will run with only 1 chip in place, but WHY ever actually run it like that?
all resistors are vishay/dale RN 55
the input caps are 0.47uf brand forgotten, pollypropelyne. they are large, sexxy, and were not cheap.
input to the amp is a 1/8" jack
there is no indicator LED, btu a very large on/off switch which says "on" and "off" on the faceplate.
output is a 1/4" neurik locking jack.
the amp will run off of 24V like a dream, and probably do very well on lower voltages too. an external psu is not included.
amp sounds pimp with my little harem of grados (sr-125, and ms2) and my high impedance senn hd-595's. the amp will drive small "included with player" headphones to levels audible from a room over while remaining clear. probably the same for the better phones, but i dont want to abuse em like that.
ooh, its in a large hammond (there is room for any corssfeed you could design/build in there....) case. silver aluminum with black plastic endpanels. the endpanels are held on with stainless fine pitch screws, which the case is tapped to accept. the screws that a hammond comes with are worth less than nothing. i did crack an endpanel, btu spares are available.
$90 gets it shipped to your door. paypal only, no 3% add-on cause paypal charges 3%...
