Does anybody have, or know where I can find, a Front Panel Designer macro or library file for a standard chassis-mount IEC connector?

I'm referring to the standard D-shaped, unfused chassis inlet connectors, such as this:

I havent seen macros fro FPD floating around at all actually. Although holes like that are quite easy to make in FPD. Just check the specs on the manufacturers website for the measurements. Im guessing its the same as Bulgin and others at around 30x20 with 40mm between the screwholes. The best thing is to lay it out and then print it to see if it matches.

I'd wager you'll spend more time looking for some sort of macro than if you just downloaded the data sheet and drew the opening you need. Also, I've used several different IECs and while the rough opening (D shape) has been similar for most of the them the mounting hole locations have varied considerably. So using a generic model might yield bad results in that respect.

Good points, and that's what I've gone ahead and done - - measured and plced.

It's worth asking, since I've had enough experiences where my measurements are 3mm off and I need to get out the Dremel; always better when someone else has made your mistakes before you.

Word of advice: If you can, print your FPX-designs and check them against the real thing before you order the panels. I've had a couple of instances where my measurements or calculations were a little off and the printouts helped me spot these before I ordered. Remember to check with a ruler that the printouts are actually 1:1 though
