Hi, fellas, your help is needed badly. Recently my second ie8 drop dead, great as they are, I don't feel like getting a third pair of those.
Meanwhile, I have been wondering about CIEM for quite some time. I live in a small city in NY, and cannot find somewhere that I can try for those. But anyway, can we really try universal series to know how custom-made earphones sound like?
What kind of sound I am looking for: wide and deep stage, evenly distributed(this is a problem I have with ie8, the stage is broad, but somewhat elongated, the middle of the stage sounds empty, sometimes I feel like singers rush through the middle of the stage from left end to right end), preferably airy with good bass extension. I listen to many kinds of music, but most of the time is concertos, symphonies or operas.
Rely on you guys for great advice. Many thank yous.

You might want to look at Noble and Empire Ears.
