Check this out, i have a few pair of the eggos. I was messing with my D22s today and a set i got used from the forsale/fortrade section on this board. The pads were peeling and i looked at them closer in the light i realized that under the pleather is the same velvet pad as the D66 is stock. The D66 cant peel, there is nothign to peel off. So i started to peel the rest of the pleather cover off the D22s and wala a free set of velvet pads with just about 10 minutes of time put in to em. I used some tweezers and picked them down to the stitching to make em looke a little nicer. No more sweaty pads
on the left you can see the stock D66 pads, they dont have the pleather around the trim that fits on the can.
The first side that was peeling first was easy to pick off, once it starts air gets under the pleather and it just seperates easy. The other side had no tears or nothing missing. I worked a spot in them rubbing with my fingers, then ripped open a section. After i peeled a little away i worked it a little more rubbing with my fingers and it frees up the cover and it just peels right off. Really easy to do with a nicer finish then with em all ripped up and cheesy looking.
