Getting Purples next month, might have to let go of the Sapphires even though they're the prettiest headphones ever.

If anyone wants to give it a new home feel free to reach out :)

Does anyone know the demensions of the screws that go into the wood cups on the TH900? I bought a pair second hand and when I went to put my new Lawton cups on I noticed the tops of the screws were quite stripped from the former owner.

I figured I would just buy screws that are the same size and replace them.

Well the Moon Audio Silver Dragon is by far my favorite around that range, and here’s a shameless plug-in - I recently sold my TH900 so a 4 pin xlr silver dragon available for a fraction of its original price if interested :)

You can try M2.5 machine screws and just measure the length (I think ~4mm should be ok). I'd just recommend getting proper replacements from full Compass personally

The part number is 8204453788. You might need to email them directly. Last I checked they didn't actually have it listed online.

Wouldn't a 2.5mm wood screw work better for taking off and putting on the cups since it would have wider groves it wouldn't tear up the wood as much?

Probably. I wasn't able to find a wood screw in the right size when I was looking so I havent tried.

Are these still pretty good in 2022?

I’m itching to upgrade my closed backs next year and have narrowed it down to:

Eikon
LCD-XC
TH-900

Have had Ananda, TH-X00, EMu Teak, and Elear in the past. Currently settled on monoprice m1570 closed since I have to have closed backs now.
