Anyone here the Taction Kannon that can compare them to the TH900 ?

To be honest I doubt they compare on any level.. The Kannon is an average speaker with a shaker which hasn't received the greatest reviews overall, whereas the TH900 are a TOTL can.

You'll probably get a more accurate answer in the Basshead thread.. Sorry I don't have a link handy as I'm on my phone

Fair enough, what about the ZMF Atticus or Eikon?

I tried the Eikon and borrowed the Atticus. Both sounds good but are huge and heavier build than the th900. Th900s bass hits lower, atticus fuller mids. Th900 better sound stage and more extended treble.

Problem is people always compare with stock TH900 (and I don't blame them). But FR is TH900's achilles' heels. And can be easily corrected with equalizer like Schiit Loki.

Try comparing with EQ-ed TH900.

What do you set your Loki to with your TH900s?

I’ve communicated with Sonarworks for having the Fostex TH900 mk2 supported on their excellent Tru Fi platform. Unfortuantly they have not recieved enough requests for supporting it yet - but they are close! They only need 20 more requests before they will support it.

If you like the software and wants to see it supported then please send a requst at https://www.sonarworks.com/truefi/headphone-request

I already use the software for my MDR-Z7 and it really makes a difference.

The TH900 is better in ever regard excluding the force of the raw bass impact. The Kannon are basically a VERY bassy M50X in terms of sound. The TH900 should provide a superior experience in almost every regard, but honestly I recommend trying to give them a listen before purchase. The TH900 are a love it or leave it kind of deal.

So question for TH900 owners, I know the whole cup being slightly loose on one side & having slightly more movement is pretty common for the TH900 but is this an issue you feel is worth sending them back for a replacement over? My last set didn't have the issue & these aren't terrible or anything but I'm curious if it's something that will get worse over time.

P. S. These are a pair of the new emerald greens, so I'm slightly concerned that they may not even be able to provide a replacement if I do send it.

I wasn't aware of this common "loose" cup attribute. Can you elaborate?

Hi guys, this loose swivel issue was a small problem that occurred with the initial run of these phones (the original TH-900, not the Mark II) when they first came out.
Fostex solved the problem on the subsequent production runs.
