I would recommend SLA or SLS printing for waveguides. They require a high level of detail and smoothness to work as intended. Unfortunately I cannot do them. There are plenty of online services that print and ship though. Just Google it and you will come up with a bunch. I used Shapeways for some T50 waveguides that were SLS printed and sandblasted.

Gotcha; I've been looking at using Sculpteo as a printing company for these but thought a user here might be able to do it for cheaper lol.

Facfox is another one that has gotten some praise lately in the open alpha thread. Check out the list few posts by FireLion.

I decided to go a different route for modding my T50rp. I have been working on building my own handmade Planar drivers for a while now and decided to put my knowledge to good use. I have designed a new, larger Planar driver and adaptor plate. Here are some pictures of it so far, still have some tweaking to do to make everything fit as nicely as I would like but I would say I'm not far off.

I wish for the MK4 Fostex would keep the same housing and make a larger one based on the same driver along with a native balanced connector.

Crap cell phone pic but, just had to report, that the audio gd r2r11 is by far my favorite pairing ive tried with my build. My zx300 has great synergy but just cant get them there due to power contraints i would imagine. Im looking forward to using this as a dac, or dac + preamp into my pioneer sx1010 or marantz 2238b to see if i can squeeze even more enjoyment out. BUT, as it stands, the way i tuned these, matches very well with this semi controversial piece of gear. Good to see people still tinkering here eventhough it took a dramatic drop off once mr speakers and zmf really hit their strides, no disrespect to them at all btw. I still think its such a capable driver if implemented correctly and paired right. Its amazing how much you can squeeze out.

YES THUNDERPANTS! i wonder how those sound compared to mine. I need to go to some meets, i also need to try tube amps on these, just need to sell some gear off, i have been hoarding a bit lately!

MK2 is a bit leaner and the MK3 I have is warmer but the bass hits pretty hard. What I love is how more open they sound compared to a stock T50, they even put a T60 to shame.

I want to buy one its only 60 bucks, just to build another set with a different tuning. It seems to me nobody is doing this sort of thing anymore. Really a shame, we all had so much fun. I know some of the monoprice hps had people modding, but nothing like the t50rp drivers. Unless im missing out on something that is! I definitely dont pay as much attention to the new hot item ad far as full sized hps go. Heres the link, looks good but who knows its probably junk

Heyyy I am looking for a headband like this for a new build!

But I am designing the cups myself and plan to tune them myself too. In fact these cups seem like a close fit to a t20 v2 as I have, 3 mount screws, 10cm wide...very nice.

So here is my modded T20RP v2.

I never heard a ZMF headphone, but what I read about them pretty much describes my set: a creamy warm sound, recessed treble but still well detailed, deep soundstage (but perhaps a bit "cuppy").

In my second iteration I want to redesign the baffle mount with an insertion gap so that I can set the earcups under it, modify the headband-cup mounting hole to allow for more movement of the earcup and improve their finish. And of course, play with tuning, perhaps have a slightly bigger hole on the earcup to allow for better bass.
