Guys I have a mayflower kit what would I do to add mid bass to a T50?

I'd remove the piece of felt in front of the venting on the inside of the cups, gives the bass more air to breathe. I think it also helped the soundstage a bit. If you don't want to remove all of the felt there you could probably adjust the amount of bass by just putting some of the sticky mayflower felt over some of the vents.

Any recommendations on a starting point on the internal modding of the new MkIII's.
I've played around with the alpha primes before and the TH900's, I've already modded to balanced with a pair of Dekoni leathers and know about the older mods, so just wanted a few opinions of anything over the last year or so in regards to materials and position. Looking for a alpha prime style signature if that helps.

Take a look here - https://www.vibrolabs.com/ - Luke is doing some really nice work!

Wifey just bought me the zebra wood cups and tuning kit for fathers day. Pretty excited, i almost gave away my mkiii's. Now i need to figure out what connectors to use, either 2.5mm trs or 3.5mm trs so i can share cables with my he4xx or m1060c.

I need to ask on these cups and smc, how is the smc fixed to the cup inside? due to the angle it is not very easy to fit mini xlrs.

Actually has anyone links or plans for a wide thunderpants cup?

They are a fine looking pair of cans, makes me want to buy a lathe and start turning !

Note it's not plain sailing fitting a connector you'd be better off using a fixed cable. I would like to see vibrolabs fit a connector to it. The problem is the cup is angled.

I do have a set with xlr's fitted that I might sell cheap.

I actually epoxied them in after a sleeve of shrink tube was put over them.

If the cups were flat it would be much more versatile. XLR is doable but man you have to be careful.

Your edge looks to be more flat than what I received. Can you take a pic to show the angle.

I was thinking of using these
https://www.redco.com/Switchcraft-35FM3-Front-Mount-3.5mm-Stereo-Mini.html

they would match the arms of my fostex pretty close. they need a 3/8 hole versus the stock 3/16 hole.

Or wire direct and then instead of a boot where the wires come together, use a mini xlr 4pin and do the same with all my cans. Make them modular and have multiple 5 foot cables that are 1/4, 3.5mm, 2.5mm balanced and xlr that all terminate at mini xlr 4 pin.

Im getting a monoprice thx 788 amp/dac for my birthday and want to have all my can xlr but still be able to use them on my onkyo balanced dap, basx and darkvoice.
