I have absolutely no money to buy a replacement pair, and the AD-900s don't have detachable/replaceable cables. Is there any way I can cut out the chewed portion and fuse the cable back together without significantly reducing its quality? Would I need expensive equipment? I'm desperate here.

I have the same problem with my Bijou3, the contact on the right IEM is loose and the sound gets cuts in and out. I wanted to cut the wire but I'm not sure if I'll be able to re-attach it back to the IEM.

Arric- "would I need expensive equipment"--I take that to mean  you have no soldering iron. If that is the case  the cheapest but the ugliest is to use in line crimps [using a pair of pliers] they can be bought in a packet cheaply.  Cut the bad piece out and using a short length of coax---if--the crimps are not long enough---and crimp it in centre to centre  outer screening to outer screening. Wont look nice but its the cheapest way, OR buy a soldering iron[dearer]  and solder a new piece in.[ Please NOTE!!- ]This isnt the normal advice I would give but its the cheapest --as he asked.
