VBR AAC (~260K) for iPods and MacBook. FLAC for my desktop and iriver H120. A 160GB iPod classic with FLAC support would be quite awesome if Apple is listening (I don't like using proprietary formats like ALAC)

everything i consider seminal i rip at aac320. (like the porcupine tree catalogue) most everything else 224 or 256 aac... some stuff i just want to have a copy of but don't care about too much i do at 192 aac...

i have tinnitus, so i don't think i can hear the subtle differences between lossless and 320 aac. it's my own fault for a lifetime of listening to music FAR too loud in my car or in headphones or concerts. man, i must sound like an old man now when i warn younger people about this...
