I've been curious about what people prefer in terms of the shape and 'layout' of their amps. Do you prefer narrower face/long body (little dot II, mapletree ear+ purist) or do you prefer the wider face and narrower body (gilmore/headamp style) style? I prefer the gilmore/headamp form factor personally...Please leave your input

Wide face and long body. Stacks better.

But from the two you listed, I'd go with the narrower face and long body. Looks more powerful.

this is mainly for bumping purposes, but it's nice to get the feedback. So far, the edge goes slightly for the headamp type of 'layout', by a margin of 2:1 (including my own preference)... Having said that, the population response is too low currently to draw any useful conclusions, so please leave your impressions! I'd appreciate a small blurb here so that we can keep this thread up for a little while.

On a side note, how many of you would buy an iPod-ish powder coated/anodized amp? By this I mean that the body would be covered with a white colour.

Cheers!

"I like narrower face and wider body" << "with the tubes on top."

so is the preference for narrower faces a dutch preference, or a tubers' preference?

Merely a preference of the Allthingseus Supremus.

Why Procreate chose what he chose, I have no idea.

I think he has a preference for tube amps -> and apparently he seems to think tube amps look better the same way you like them. That's why I referred to tubers...

Yes, you are the first "official" tuber. I hereby coin the term tuber. I will now list it on wikipedia; tomorrow, the world! Now if I can only figure out how I'm going to collect my royalties...
