For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

Alpha Omega + WM1AM2
The love it took to leave you by Colin Stetson
https://tidal.com/browse/album/386017225?u

The week had so many great releases, one of my favourites being this gem.
Experimental instrumental jazz music , hard to really explain what it is. He has made the soundtrack for some movies in the past, like Hereditary and more.
There is so many feelings going trough me listening to this, I wanted to hear it on my Omega this time due to its ability really show the deepest notes.

And yes this is quite interesting as I would for sure think there was more elements here:

This Colin Stetson album has been haunting me since its release last week. Beautiful and horrific. Like the saxophone itself.

T+A HP's provide amazing clarity and transparency showing all flaws in the live recording making you feel like you were there :)

Well put, as ever. Beautifully horrific, it is! How does the Sivga Cue play it?! Need to hear it on nightingale, not heard yet . Liked it a lot on the Aful P8 and Loved it on the treble-rich Intime Kira-2 (via hiby fc6) ...

Fab album, hearing it now again, and want to save it for the night.. It fills your whole being in the dark and in that supine state!

EDIT: So, instead, now, I am listening Stetson's fab soundtrack for The Menu

On Kira2

Needed some heavy music to clear my head after a completely nonsensical meeting at work. HD490 Pro doing the work and sitting oh so comfortably on my cabeza.
Elder blasting riffs down my earcanals. May just be what the doctor prescribed.

I'm taking the opportunity give the Oriolus Traillii JPs that I just acquired a thorough workout this morning. I've got the Trailliis running off the Ferrum Oor/Hypsos and Holo May KTE for kicks and giggles. I can say that from the moment I started listening I have been impressed by their ability to render micro-dynamics and low level detail.

Up first in my Traillii test queue is Chon's 2015 classic, Grow. This is my favorite release from Chon and it's actually one of my favorite math rock releases in general. The high level of musicianship, the songwriting and arranging, the production quality, etc is all the creme de la creme. The way the album flows from track to track so that it comes together as a well though out, planned, and executed whole is impressive. When a band puts out an album that kills on a track by track basis and then nails it as a cohesive album/work of art, it's truly a beautiful thing. This album is a must hear, IMO. 🔥🔥🤘😎

I believe it was @rids57 that recommended this album not that long ago. Taking these Norwegians for a spin over the HE500. The start of the album had me thinking of my childhood looking at my grandparents in traditional dancing clothes twirling around to folk music. Then the art-rock suddenly kicked in, and I was at a completely different place.

Beats'n Jazz on the menu tonight. 🥁 🎷
Blazo is just amazing for me, a great blend of two genres with a positive/ uplifting twist. Listening to the album "Colors of Jazz".

Tried the Fiio FT1 on the Xduoo TA-26, but as the FT1 has a lot of bass on their own, it ended up sounding a bit too thick, so I quickly switched to the Aune S17 Pro, and have just been enjoying the music from there on.

I need to be able to hear knocks/rings at the front door because I have a delivery coming and a contractor coming to give me an estimate on replastering my pool at some point so I had to switch to open backs begrudgingly because I was really enjoying the Trailliis JPs. Regardless, I'm now rockin' the DCA Corinas again, but I'm switching back to the Aristaeus (Telefunken Black Diamond 12AX7s) to do some comparative listening with the BHSE. Still using the Gustard R26 as DAC and streamer not just to limit variables, but also because it has some good synergy with Corinas.

Up first in my estat queue is we broke the weather's 2022 eponymous LP. After being thoroughly impressed by their most recent album, Restart Game, last night I knew I needed to check out the rest of their catalog. These guys call themselves "garage prog" on their Bandcamp page and, after listening to some of their material, I have to say that it's a pretty accurate description. They really do sound a bit like garage rock crossed with some solid prog and it works very nicely. I'd highly recommend checking these guys out. 🤘😎

Trying on some Sui Generis to tickle the South American 70s art rock scratch. Sounds phenomenal over the HE500. Gotta love those old analogue synths and keys!
