@Deadwax65 ahh, the band that had so much important influence on Nirvana. Who knows if without Melvins we would have such masterpieces like Nevermind and In utero.

Thumbs up for listening from CD :)

In the meantime I'm still on burr-brown'ed MM-500 and thanks to @JAnonymous5150 I'm exploring this great album while contemplating if I should buy myself another skateboard.

Much like headphones, you can never have too many skateboards! All joking aside, I've only got 4: a regular street board, a mini travel board, a 6ft longboard for casual rides, and the 4.5ft longboard I just made for speed and carving hills. I'll snap a pic of the board made when I get back home this afternoon/evening.

I've been surfing and skating since I was in kindergarten and I don't think I'll be giving either up anytime soon. How long have you been skating for and what kind of board are you looking to pick up? Making this board was a ton of fun and it came out great. Also, Pierce The Veil are one of my favorites from the post-hardcore genre and that album is my favorite from them so I'm glad you're diggin' it. 👍😎

Topical Content:

This morning I headed to my mom's house a couple hours drive north of mine to do some repairs work on her sprinkler system and a door so I'm running mobile gear while I work. Right now I'm rockin' the IO Audio Volares paired with my A&K Kann Alpha. The Volares have been quite the surprise and have settled in nicely to round out my midfi tribrid lineup.

Kickin' off this morning's queue is another Ben Rosett solo album, Synergy Vol. I, released back in March. I listened to some of his earlier releases before giving this new album a spin. I have been a fan of all the other material he's released and I can't wait to hear what he's put together for this album. I'm also stoked at the implication of the title including "Vol. I" that there will be subsequent volumes at some point. 🤞😎

A Static Lullaby reunited? That's crazy! I'll be interested to see/hear what material they put out and where there sound falls in the current post-hardcore/screamo scene. Now I'm gonna have to revisit some of their albums since I haven't listened to them in a cool minute.

After a pretty intense day at the office, which included a few hours of very intensive listening sessions on a new prototype, my ears are pretty much gone for this evening :/
So I'm just chilling with some relaxing and smooth electronics, yet another great recommendation from this thread.
HedFlux - The Philosopher's Tone

Fiddling around with EQ on the HD800 after I found an interesting, but also quite aggressive, suggestion. Tweaking it a bit, but overall it really brings out a nice side of the HD800's.
On the Violectric V200/V800 stack, played via Roon/Tidal.

@alekc @JAnonymous5150 Nice to see some fellow skateboarders,

Skateboarded a lot in youth and had my foot snap out its socket during a 7 stair doing a 180. Landed wrong and board cracked and foot snapped right out.

But I got back in with with skateboarding again in 2020 after a 16 year break. Now its only cruising in the local concrete bowl and some drop in and easy stuff in vert, got a dedicated vert board and the Andy Anderson board to cruise in bowl or mini ramps and do some flip tricks. Also have 3 more boards one for cruising and two older and worn stuff.
Avoid both rails and stairs, and last year been very little skateboarding. Hard to do both skateboarding and be dedicated to workouts in the gym, for some reason the body cannot handle the beating anymore 🤣

Nice! I'm glad to hear that you got back into it. I broke my wrist and collarbone after wiping out in a half pipe because I over-rotated on a truck when I was 17, but I haven't had anything nearly as gnarly as your foot injury happen while skating. How long did it take to shake the rust off after 16 years away from a board?

Topical Content:

Switched to some earbuds so I can hear things going on around me, life rings/knocks at the front door. I went with my Ucotech ES-P2s driven by the A&K Kann Alpha.

Currently topping my queue is a new release I'm trying basically at random on Qobuz: Wish on the Bone by Why Bonnie. I was checking the new releases on Qobuz and the album art caught my eye and I decided to give it whirl. I'm only three tracks in, but I'm enjoying what I'm hearing. Her vocals have a meandering, melancholic quality to them that immediately sucked me into the music. 👍👍😎

I think I found a perfect album to exploit both ifi iDAC2 and MM-500, at moments it reminds me of TOOL brilliant Undertow album:

ifi micro iDAC2 > (via RCA) Burson Soloist 3X Performance (medium gain with Supercharger > Audeze MM-500

Absolutely loving this album - thanks for the recommendation :)
