Ok yesterday i went in to pick up a pair of Hd555s and just as i went up to the counter to pay i noticed they were the 120ohm version.I dont have an amp at the moment and it will be a few months before i get one,i just use my PC,iriver and HIFI as a sourse.
Anyway to make a long story short online i went online and found a pair of Hd595 50ohm for the same price as i would have paid in the local store(overprced but just convinient).I checked to see if they had the Hd555 but only stock the 120ohm version.
So basically would you recommend i get the Hd595(50ohm) for unamped listening over the Hd555(120ohm)?

Im living in Ireland so here is the rundown price for HD595
Local store 225euro and thats excluding the 15 euro postage
Thomann.de(germany) 159euro ,15euro for postage
Just found a dealer on Ebay(UK dealer)(brand new) 115euro 21euro Postage
Huge difference ,eh?

Well i just took the plundge there and ordered them off the Ebay seller.Hopefully everything will work out fine and il have made myself a nice little saving.Cheers for the advice everyone.
