For the guy going to Japan

I remember reading a while back about someone here going to Japan and offering to buy headphones for members here. I've been looking into Denon D1000s and D2000s and I'd probably be more interested if I knew what the price difference on these would be. If anyone knows his screen name so I can PM him that'd be a great start. Thanks.

That'd be me. I'm planning to limit it to two-three sets of D2000s or ATH-ESW9s as they have the biggest cost difference between Japan and the US. I was thinking I'd take maybe half of that difference. In Japan I can get D2000s for around 24,000 yen new, which is around $200 US.

would it be possible to get a pair of ew9s or em700s? I'm wondering how good the prices are for portable phones

the em700 are the denon phones? they are about 14 000 yen here which is like us 120$ or so.

o I was referring to the at em700, the clip ons. they seem like a cheaper alternative to the ew9

ATH-EM700's can be found in Japan for 8,380 yen and the ATH-EW9's for 13,880, not including tax.
