For 6BL7 tube users

Had one of my quad 6bl7s go out today. And a 5998 completely dead!!

Damn.

I've bought 9 sets of 6BL7's so far. Maybe I should just ease off to check reliability.

Has anyone been using these for a while and know how long they should last?

Look how big the EL3N adapter is compared to the 6bl7

What is that adapter for?

Edit: Okay. Ive just looked to see what a EL3N is. Are you using as a driver?
I think your amp has had every tube installed.

In place of 6as7.
Have dual adapters coming.

Wholey Bat crap. You are a crazy Muther ********. In a good way. I love it.

Amp is looking sexy. How does it sound?
(please don't tell me better than 6BL7, I can't stand another power tube change).

Yes same ones I bought and use.

Thanks Joe. Have you recently changed from the rotatable adapters to the fixed type? I noticed that your pics of the adapters you posted on the 6AS7G thread are rotatable. I would not like to purchase the fixed type of adapter for the WA22 only to find that it needs to be rotated to fit the amp.

No those you posted link to are rotatable some. Just loosen the screw in the middle first fit where you need and then tighten it back. (I would rotate much more than 180 degrees tho.

Here is the pic.

Can those adapters be set so the tubes are in line? So when looking directly at the amp one tube is in front and the other is tucked in behind. Or does the adapter hit the transformer?
